Healthy Together: Education & Awareness Project ​​

The Multicultural Communities Council of WA is committed to improve the capacity of MCCWA's staff including paid employees, volunteers, student on placement and interns to achieve professional development so they can deliver inclusive, safe, and effective care for vulnerable people from CaLD and LGBTQI+ backgrounds in need of mental health assistance.

LGBTQI+ Affirmative Training Module
The Multicultural Communities Council of WA have developed an affirmative training module which service providers can use to improve their capacity to deliver inclusive, safe and effective care for people from CaLD and LGBTQI+ backgrounds.
​
To complete the module, participants must review the four Training Modules below and then complete a quiz to validate their training to receive a certificate of completion which will be authorized by the Multicultural Communities Council of WA.

Topics include:
  • LGBTQI+ Awareness
  • Intersectionality & CaLD LGBTQI+ Communities
  • ​LGBTQI+ Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
  • Inclusion in the Workplace
